ISE BESSAKU has a thick handle, and it has the KOTO GATA shape. It is thick all through the Shinai/Jukdo, and it is made of Top Quality Madake bamboo. Similar to our other Bessaku series, this Shinai/Jukdo has more angular corners, increasing the bamboo skin surface, improving the strength of the bamboo. We have selected a special type of bamboo, with a greenish color, in order to give that special look and touch.

Comes fully assembled in top quality leather.

We used a Greenish Color Madake Bamboo, which makes this Shinai look very unique. This is how TESSHIN used to look, when you purchased it, back in the old days. When you look at this Shinai, it looks very thick and heavy, however, this Shinai averages 530 - 545 grams, and the actual feel is much less, because of its exceptional balance"
